Reverend Emanuel L. Hutcherson is a native of Buffalo, New York, whose lifelong work has centered on community development, recovery, mentorship, workforce development, and creating opportunities for individuals returning to their communities.

After moving to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1978, Reverend Hutcherson began working in human services at the Hennigan Community School, serving as a youth programmer and counselor. He later studied Substance Abuse, Alcoholism, and Addiction Counseling at the University of Massachusetts.

Reverend Hutcherson is the Executive Director of Prison Prevention Ministry and the Founder of Future Hope Pre-Apprenticeship & Recovery Program (FHARP). He has also served as a mentor through the Department of Youth Services and as a Chaplain for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department House of Correction.

His ministerial and leadership education includes studies at Greater Love Tabernacle Church and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Throughout his career, Reverend Hutcherson has worked to strengthen the connection between returning citizens and their communities by combining health and wellness, recovery, mentoring, spirituality, workforce development, and economic opportunity.

He has helped develop programs and services for at-risk youth, men, and women throughout Boston and surrounding communities. His work includes certified and accredited apprenticeship opportunities in construction and the skilled trades, helping participants develop practical skills and pathways toward successful reintegration into society.

Through FHARP, Reverend Hutcherson expanded this vision back to his native community of Buffalo, New York. FHARP provides mentoring, advocacy, recovery coaching, substance abuse counseling, pre-apprenticeship training, and community support designed to help individuals and families build stronger futures.

His work has included engagement with courts, correctional institutions, probation and parole departments, youth services, child and family services, re-entry programs, and other community-based organizations.

Reverend Hutcherson remains committed to building stronger communities and developing future leaders by replacing fear and doubt with hope, opportunity, skills, and a pathway toward a better future.

Stan Martin, MM is the Founder and CEO of Stan Martin Consulting, LLC (SMC), a Buffalo-based, New York State Certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprise advancing health equity through community-centered strategies. With more than two decades of experience in public health planning, implementation, community engagement, and systems change, Mr. Martin is recognized for his leadership in addressing the structural and social drivers of health disparities.

Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Mr. Martin has dedicated his career to improving health outcomes in communities disproportionately impacted by cardiovascular disease, chronic disease, tobacco-related illness, and other preventable health disparities.

SMC serves as the anchor organization for No Menthol Buffalo, a youth- and community-led movement working to reduce tobacco-related disease and death and advance health equity through education, advocacy, and community-based participatory approaches.

Mr. Martin also serves as an Outreach and Communications Consultant for the Western New York Integrated Care Collaborative (WNYICC), supporting New York State's Medicaid 1115 Waiver efforts across Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties. His work focuses on reaching Medicaid recipients with health-related social needs and strengthening connections to critical resources, including housing, food and nutrition, transportation, health care, and other community-based services.

His expertise spans tobacco control, cardiovascular and chronic disease prevention, health promotion, Medicaid community outreach, workforce development, and adolescent health. A core component of his work includes training and empowering residents, particularly in historically underserved communities, to better manage hypertension and reduce their risk of stroke, heart attack, and other cardiovascular diseases through culturally responsive education and population-based interventions.

In 2026, Mr. Martin received the Buffalo Branch NAACP Medgar Evers Civil Rights Award, recognizing his leadership and commitment to advancing civil rights, health equity, and social justice in the Buffalo community.

Mr. Martin continues to collaborate with community, health care, government, and public health partners to advance sustainable policy, systems, and environmental changes that improve health outcomes, expand access to resources, and promote equity for communities that have historically been underserved.
